If two generals are on the same column and there are nothing between them, can a general capture opponent's general?
Since the object of the game is checkmate or stalemate, the game would end before that could happen. If a Brain is on a space whose arrows do not point toward the opponent’s side, this would allow the other Brain to move to the same column without anything between them. And if that Brain moved to a space with an arrow pointing toward the Brain, it could check it. If the player with a checked Brain could not escape check, it would be checkmate, and the game would end.
So the checkmate pattern 对面笑 also exists, by two brains(generals), a numskull(chariot), and some arrows?

It looks like I didn't change the powers of the Ninny for the Korean version, and its powers do change upon crossing the river. Since this change in powers is designed to stop the Ninny from entering its own Ivory Tower while allowing it to attack the opponent's Brain in its Ivory Tower, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to go with a strictly Korean version that gives the Ninny the same powers of movement anywhere on the board.
